Mayor Warren wants you to know that the City of Orange Township is temporally opening the New Jersey American water interconnection in the North Ward to meet our water needs. During this process, there will be a flow testing period, to ensure that we have sufficient water pressure to reach upper floors in our multi-story structures, such as apartment buildings in Orange.
During this flow testing, you may notice some discoloration in your water, as a result of some pipe rust. THIS IS NOT LEAD – THE WATER IS SAFE. All you have to do is keep your tap on for a few minutes until the water is clear.
