A Special Award for a Special Young Man

At 6:00 this evening, Orange Fire Director Kenneth Douglas will make a special presentation to an aspiring firefighter – 1st Grader Kevin Guaman – at today’s “Student of the Month” Recognition Ceremony at Orange Preparatory School, located at 400 Central Avenue.

Kevin Guaman’s dream is to be a firefighter. He comes to class every day with a smile on his face and a desire to learn. As a special needs student, Kevin is dedicated to being the best version of himself and puts a great amount of effort into everything he does. Kevin is supportive and collaborative with his peers which makes him a great role model in class and out. He is a positive influence on others and is always willing to lend a helping hand to a classmate. He is a kind spirit who always puts others first.

He has earned many achievements including 20 Sight Words Award and a Skip Counting Award.
He is quite the Wordsmith!

Kevin’s favorite pastime is to dress up as a firefighter – he hopes to become one someday.

Please come and celebrate with Kevin on this special day!
