  • May 18th – ORANGE COMMUNITY DAY – Monte Irvin Park (Orange Park) 12:00pm – 5:00 pm      Bring your family & friends & blankets for fun, entertainment and BBQ (Propane grills ONLY).

  • May 27th – Memorial Day Ceremony – Elks Lodge 475 Main Street 10:00 am – 12:00 pm    Join us as we commemorate the men and women who died while in the military service.
  • June 12th – Sept 18th – COMMUNITY FARMER’S MARKET (Co-sponsor:  HANDS, Inc., Essex County Local Arts, RPM Development)  Every other Wednesday  Tony Galento Plaza (Train station – S. Essex Ave.) 12:00pm – 6:00 pm

DIVISION OF RECREATION

  • Now thru April 26th –
    –   Safe Haven – Central Playground Field House.  School-aged children have a safe place to dwell after school hours for activities, homework assistance and more.  3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
    –   Orange Extended Day Program – Orange Preparatory School (400 Central Avenue)  School-aged children have a safe place to dwell after school hours for activities, homework assistance and more.  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
  • April 13th – EASTER CELEBRATION – Central Playground Tennis Court 9:00 am – 3:00 pm  Take pictures with Easter Bunny, free baskets, register for summer camp.
  • April 20th – Basketball Championship – Orange High School 400 Lincoln Avenue   9:00 am – 12:30 pm.
  • May 11th – BASEBALL OPENING DAY – Metcalf Park  10:00 am

  • August 6th – Hassan Miller Stop the Violence Basketball Games – Central Playground 7:oo pm – 10:00 pm
  • August 6th – NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME – (Orange Police Dept.) Join Mayor Dwayne D. Warren, Esq., the Orange City Council and Orange residents in a City-Wide celebration focusing on raising awareness in the community.  Help us promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer.
  • August 24th – MAYOR’S BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT – (Co-Sponsor:  Michelle Gill Foundation, DJ Bad Indian & Radio Road Block) – Music, Free Book Bag giveaways, raffles, games, food and more… Central Avenue/Central Playground – 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Register to receive a free book bag for the 2019-2020 school year.  Registration will begin on July 15, 2019.
