PUBLIC NOTICE
PURPOSE: The City of Orange Township is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program 2026 for improvements at Metcalf Park located at 717 Valley Street Orange, NJ 07050 and nearest intersection at Chestnut Street and Valley Street (Block: 6208, Lot: 2).
PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Orange Township proposes improvements at Metcalf Park including renovation of the baseball / softball field and amenities. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://orangenj.gov/Calendar.aspx?EID=1398
PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan. The hearing will take place (in-person) on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM during the Orange Municipal Council Meeting held at City Hall, 29 North Day Street, Orange, NJ 07050.
The Director of Public Works and City Council members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. All residents are encouraged to attend and participate.
