PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the following Ordinance was Introduced and passed on First Reading on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. The Ordinance will be further considered on Second Reading and Final Passage at the Regular Meeting of the Orange City Council to be held at City Hall, 29 North Day Street, Orange, New Jersey on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. at which time and place all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning same. Information regarding remote access to the meeting may be found on the City’s website at www.orangenj.gov. and Council’s website at www.orangetwpnjcc.org. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Clerk’s office or on the Council’s website for the members of the general public who shall request the same.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ORANGE TOWNSHIP, CHAPTER 200, ENTITLED “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC” SECTION 200-52-1 HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES. (54 North Essex Avenue)
WHEREAS, Georgeanna Valderrama has in her possession a special identification card issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles of the State of New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, Geogeanna Valderrama requested that a handicapped parking space be established in front of her home; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Orange Township that Section 200-52-1 be and is hereby amended to include a handicapped parking space at the location as follows:
54 North Essex Avenue
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that any ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall take effect upon final passage, approval and publication pursuant to law.
