SALARY

• The starting salary for a Police Officer is $44.259 and increases to $57.753 after one year of service
• Annual salary after 10 years of service is up to $124.143

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY

• 20 years of age to apply during open application period
• 21 years of age and have not yet reached your 35th birthday by start of Police Academy (around Jan 2023*)
• Either (by around June 2022*)
  –  a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college or university
  –  OR an honorable discharge from the U.S. military after at least two full years of continuous active duty or be a spouse of a disabled or deceased veteran
  – OR have at least three years of full-time experience and currently employed in any of the following occupations:  Licensed Security Guard, Sworn Law Enforcement, Corrections or TSA agent

Citizenship:
Candidates must be United States citizens at the time of appointment to the Police Academy.

Driver’s License:
Candidates must have a current, valid driver’s license within 14 days of appointment to the Police Academy.
