What you need to know to vote in the June 8, 2021 Primary Elections…

CAN I VOTE IN PERSON?

  • You may vote in person at your polling place, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on election day, June 8.  Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities. Go to Vote.NJ.Gov for your polling place,  listed on the Polling Locations page.

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR A VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT?

  • Registered voters can apply for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot in one of the following:
    1… Go to the Vote By Mail page on Vote.NJ.Gov, and download and print an Application for a  Vote by Mail Ballot. Then, mail or deliver your completed application to your County Clerk.  In order to receive your ballot in the mail, it must be received by your County Clerk by June 1.
    2… Apply in person with your County Clerk by June 7 at 3:00 p.m. Find the contact details for your  County Clerk at Vote.NJ.Gov.

HOW CAN I RETURN MY VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT?

  • It’s as easy as VOTE, SIGN, SEAL, RETURN. How you return it is up to you.
    1… Mail: It must be postmarked on or before 8:00 p.m. June 8 and be received by your county’s  Board of Elections on or before June 14.
    2… Secure Ballot Drop Box: Place it in one of your county’s secure ballot drop boxes by 8:00 p.m.  on June 8. Drop box locations can be found at Vote.NJ.Gov.
    3… Board of Elections Office: Deliver it in person to your county’s Board of Elections Office by  8:00 p.m. on June 8. County Election Officials’ contact information can be found at Vote.NJ.Gov.

NOTE: Your vote-by-mail ballot CANNOT be returned to your polling place for this election. 

HOW DO I REGISTER TO VOTE?

  • You must be registered by May 18 in order to vote in the June 8, 2021 Primary Election.  Visit Vote.NJ.Gov for online voter registration or to check your voter registration status.
