This is Mayor Dwayne Warren, with an update during this
holiest of weeks, with an update on the coronovirus
outbreak and our Administration’s response.
Currently, we have 296 positive coronavirus cases in Orange.
We have lost 6 souls to this disease and we have
17 people who are in recovery.
COVID-19 is a continuing threat to our health and safety.
Therefore, all prior restrictions will remain in effect for
another 30 days. At that time the Governor may renew the
orders again to protect our safety.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced today he is now requiring all
employees and shoppers at the businesses still open in
New Jersey to wear face coverings until further notice to
help fight the coronavirus outbreak and has limited the
number of customers allowed inside stores to a max of
50% of their capacity.
Due to the level of need, I have established a Coronavirus
Legal Guidance Help desk to provide direction on the
federal and state laws that have been passed to give
economic relief. You may call the Coronavirus Legal
Guidance Help Desk by calling 973-280-1621 and a
volunteer attorney will respond to your inquiry.
All court sessions in municipal court will be suspended
until April 26. New Court notices will be mailed to you.

Now for some good news. If you have a child 10 years old
or younger who is celebrating their birthday in the month of
April, our Police & Fire Departments can surprise them
with a mini-parade in front of your home!
