Attention Orange Residents: Beware of Water Bill Payment Scams
We’ve received calls from residents and SUEZ that a white mini-van with 2 men are going door to door in Orange, stating that they work for the City’s Water Department and they are there to receive “payment” – if the customer doesn’t “pay”, their water service will be “terminated”.
These individuals are not City employees but are actually crooks looking for a quick payoff – they are trying to rush residents into giving them money before they have a chance to think about it.
City of Orange Township employees DO NOT ask for payment for a water bill during a visit to your home. If anyone approaches you demanding payment for your water bill, contact the Orange Tax/Water Office immediately at 973-266-4005.
